‘F Gas Regulations: On the 4th July 2009 the new F Gas Regulations (similar to Corgi) came into force which makes it illegal for you as a user of Refrigeration or Air Conditioning equipment to employ any company to work on this type of equipment who isn’t an approved ‘F Gas’ contractor. Global Warming: On the 31st December 2009 the use of virgin HFC refrigerants will be banned and this will effect any equipment that is currently operating on R22, R408a & R409a. This will essentially mean that if you have any old equipment, it may be operating on one of these refrigerants. Should you subsequently have any problems with this equipment in the future, it will need to be replaced rather than be repaired. Click here to download more info

E.P.B.D: Air Conditioning equipment now falls within the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) which basically means that certain items of equipment will need to be regularly inspected New F gas Legislation will affect all business using refrigeration & air conditioning.
